Dr. Jean Louis Benae, MD, FAANS, FCNS, FICS
Neurosurgeon
Dr. Jean Louis Benae is a triple board-certified neurosurgeon with extensive experience in both brain and spine (minimally invasive spine) surgery. Born in Cameroon, and raised in Paris, France, Dr. Benae came to the United States at the age of 20 to attend the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He pursued a degree in Physiological Sciences and graduated with honors. He continued his education at the David Geffen UCLA School of Medicine, where he obtained his Doctorate in Medicine. During his graduate medical education, his fascination for neuroscience led him to a neurotrauma research fellowship with the UCLA Brain Injury Research Center. After completing his research fellowship, Dr. Benae began his neurosurgery residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals in Milwaukee.

Dr. Yaw Sarpong is a board-certified neurosurgeon and the newest member of the team at North Texas Brain & Spine Specialists. Dr. Sarpong always had a passion for medicine and he is very excited to be one of the leaders at the cutting edge of neurosurgery.
